27th May - Munich, Germany

Man! I dislike long flight without a mini TV :p
I got off the plane and started heading towards my next flight. I got through the passport check point and had to go through hand-luggage check place. Suddenly I thought, "Wait, am I missing something?" I checked if I had everything. My laptop and my backpack... oh bulls! I left the bag that Simon gave me!
I purposely put my inhalers (for my asthma) into that bag so I dont forget the popcorn.
I ran straight to Lufthansa check-in point and asked for lost property. The lady did everything she can to retrieve it but she couldn't get through to the crew on the plane. Arg, sorry Simon. I guess I have to come over again and go to Disneyland with ya :o
I was an idiot and been running around the airport after I've realised that I left the bag, so I was sweaty and puffed up (not good for asthmatic people). I needed to find a pharmacy to buy an inhaler just in case I have an attack on the plane ...
After a while I found a pharmacy. "Yus! I'm saved" That's what I thought. But soon I realised I needed a doctor's note or prescription to get the inhaler because inhalers aren't on normal racks. Fortunately the lady was v.nice and v.good-looking, let me buy the inhaler.

I was sweaty (yes you had to know that) and smelly after all those running, but thanks to Duty Free Shop I was able to put on some well-known cologne. Nifty, I say.

26th May - LA to Munich

I got on the plane and was not looking forward to another long flight (11:20 mins). “Oh well, I can watch more movies then…Wait, where’s my mini-TV? Noooo…” I found out that there is no mini TVs in Lufthansa (German airline) aircrafts. I was a little bit disappointed but that explains why the airfare for Lufthansa is significantly less expensive than other flight companies.

-No mini-TV on Lufthansa

Although I didn’t get to see many movies, I got to know this guy sitting next me. His name is Philippe, French and 30ish. He’s been working in LA at several movie industries at food sections. He told me he has worked with famous actors and actresses! Apparently, one of his favourite actors is Lucy Lu because she’s very nice in real world compared to other actors/actresses who are up themselves. He also said Eddie Murphy was a good guy too. Good to know ay.

Philippe also told me this funny thing. According to the research done in Europe, French people are the most talkative/loud passengers in aircrafts. I looked around the place and crazy! Saw three groups of people talking in French, blocking the aisles. It’s funny that I’ve never noticed that before. I can remember few French people talking loudly on Auckland – LA flight. It’s also ironic that Philippe is French. Meh.

I spent rest of the time reading a book given by Jeremy. Bridget Jones’ Diary. I did think that it was going to be a girlish story but in fact it was v.good book and I’m really enjoying it. Thanks Jeremy!

26th May - Los Angeles, USA

I landed to LA airport! I couldn't get over how excited I was to see Simon soon! I got out of the airport at around 1:30pm. (the customs took ages) The next flight I was going to take was at 4:15pm (you have to check in at least two hours before so I should have been there at 2:15)
I knew Simon has gotten slimmer since I've seen him last (from seeing the pictures from Facebook + MySpace) so I was looking for a blond, good-looking and slim guy... And there he was! He perfectly fits the description! I couldn't have been more happier to see him.
I gave him a bottle of L&P as he requested and he gave me a bag of chocolate popcorn (I assume it was from Disneyland because it had a Micky Mouse on the back). Cheers bo!

-Simon's bass and his VW! (v.nice car)
-Simon's house!

-I drank this energy drink (twice as big as NZ's) in America! (from YuGiOh)
-Simon and I

Anyway, we got lost. He accidentally took a wrong turn and had no idea where he was going. But that's all good, I got to see LA!!
We didn't have much time so we went pass the beach and went to his house. His garage smelled like America! (I once had a house in Orange County and the garage smelled like it) The house was very nice, a good party house :p. He showed me some of his pictures from past, and oh my goodness! He lost so much weight. I felt really proud of him for the significant change he's made in such a short time. I'm glad that the Simon I knew was still in him but with a lot more determination and spirit! I can look up to him as a role model now. I've been too lazy this year so now I've decided I'll give everything i can to master (well nearly) Spanish in three months! Wish me luck.

It was time for me to leave. He dropped me off at the airport and it really sucked that I had to leave. I wish him a good luck for the rest of the year. Thanks Simon for showing me around LA!! And it was so wicked seeing you again buddy.

26th May - Auckland to LA (in the air)

A flight from Auckland to LA was about 12 hours. So the mini TV infront of me was a great help for killing that time. I've watched Dream Girls, Music&Lyrics, Borat and a little bit of Erago. Every movie was good except some bits from Borat were disturbing. It made it worse as the people who were sitting next to me were watching the movie on my screen. (why didnt they just watch on their screens?? seriously) It had too many awkward moments so I switched to Eragon.
I tried to sleep between the movies but it's really hard to sleep on the plane. I have to lie down to sleep. So in total I had about 2 hours of sleep. But I was wide awake when the plane was about to land in LA because I was gonna meet Simon there! I hadn't seen him for a long time you know!

26th May - Auckland, New Zealand

This is the day I leave NZ for 5-6 months.
Last night was a blast. I need to thank Tim for organising the night. I had no intention of having a get-together before I leave and I'm thankful that I had it.

It's about 12p.m. still havent fully packed yet. Majority of advices I got from femels were "you should at least pack 2 days before hand", males were "You should pack on the day" and guess what, I took males' advice. It's not very logical but oh well!

Just wanna say thanks to everyone who has sent me off to the aiport + visiting/txting/emailing me before hand to say good bye. You guys rock my world!

Tim picked me up from my house with Vanessa and Cassandra. Chuck came around to go to the airport with us. Dave, Rachel, Katherine and Jess were already waiting at the airport. It was so good to see them just before I was off to Spain.
After I've checked in, we hanged around on the first floor of the airport. Cass and Rachel shot off to this beauty shop? And came back with shiny lips, smooth skins and crazy perfumes. Girls, psss. Others' tried to break a barbie doll apart. How cruel, especially you Dave! :p just kidding.
Anyway, it was time for me to part from awesome friends. I remember Gina telling me a while ago about what this girl she knew said. She said "real friends don't say good byes, instead they say see you later". I thought it was pretty kewl so I sent my see you laters to them.
After I've gone through the luggage check-in, they were waiting on the floor above to send me off. Thanks for coming guys!
